Saturday at Sun Life Stadium, Brazil and Honduras will meet in an international friendly at 7 p.m. in one of their final tune-ups prior to the 20th World Cup in Brazil beginning June 12.
There is a vast difference in the two national teams going forward.
Brazil is the king of World Cup history with 19 appearances and five World Cup championships. Honduras, on the other-hand, is making only its third World Cup appearance this June.
With all its world class experience, Brazil is loaded with top-notch players such as forwards Neymar and Robinho, midfielders Oscar and Paulinho and goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
Neymar, who is just 21, has proven to be one of the world's high-level players since joining Barcelona, With Messi out due to injury until at least sometime in January, Neymar should add to his four goals and seven assists in just 11 matches in the La Liga league since joining Barcelona. He is a quality asset to the Brazilian side.
Neymar has 27 goals in 44 matches and is the leading scorer for Brazil coming into Saturday's match. He is closely followed by Robinho's 26 goals, but that has come over 90 matches.
Statistically, Honduras will be challenged, but does have some scorers in Carlo Costly (28 goals, 66 caps) and Jerry Bengtson (18 goals, 39 caps)
Honduras has played Brazil five times over the years, the last being a 3-2 loss at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Overall, the Honduran nation is 1-3-1 against Brazil.
Honduras qualified for its first World Cup in 1982 and after failing to qualify six consecutive times has now made it two consecutive tries.
Brazil has two more friendlies and Honduras one more scheduled prior to World Cup play.
